Burned Out from Daycare? Start a Preschool Instead! – with Deana Matiyasic

If you want to give up the burnt out daycare life and start a thriving preschool, listen to today’s Preschool All Stars story: After Deana Matiyasic found herself pregnant and unemployed, she decided to start a daycare to support her and her child. She quickly found herself not enjoying it and counting the minutes until her work day was over. Listen in to discover how you can build a thriving preschool, too!

Deana Matiyasic went from dog trainer to daycare owner and was not enjoying her new role in daycare. She was tired and getting to the point where she dreaded her work days. She knew this was taking a toll on her own mental health, and the kids in her care. She needed to make a change, and after repeatedly stumbling upon Joy’s program, she decided to give it a try.

After getting a free website audit from Joy, Deana decided that Joy’s program was legit and she needed to get on board. She told her families that she would be transitioning from daycare to preschool, and took the preschool plunge. She started with 2 classes, and moved to 4 classes a week and is loving her new role as a preschool owner.

Deana loves the ideas she gets from Joy and the Preschool All Stars. She has run contests, giveaways and found ways to  market that were never on her radar before.

Making the transition from daycare to preschool was the best decision Deana could have made. She is back to enjoying her job and her life. Her classes are full and she is now working on her summer school and summer camp programs. She loves the flexibility that this career offers. Being able to set her own schedule and prices has given her back the control she wanted in her work day. She is now looking forward to having another baby and hiring a teacher to take over for her so she can just run the business.
